Faculty-based Lotus Notes Server

The Faculty of Medicine runs a Lotus Notes server and encourages staff members to make use of this service. Lotus Notes is a combined messaging (mail), workgroup application and web server. Some benefits of using the Faculty's Lotus Notes server are that your email is backed up nightly and that all your email is stored on a central server which is accessible from the internet.

Uses for this service include:

Email server
Email client, and web-based email
Non-relational database system
Workflow applications
Websites

Centrally Run UNSW Mail Services

The UNSW IT Services also runs a mail server for staff and students. It includes a pop and smtp server, yourname@unsw.edu.au, and web-based email (Unimail). More information about this service can be found at http://www.disconnect.unsw.edu.au/
